Darshan and the danda blessing
After darshan of the silver face of Baba, a priest taps the devotee with a bundle of peacock feathers, the danda of the Kotwal. It is believed to remove illness, fear and the evil eye.

Raksha Sutra (black thread)
A black thread, known as ganda or Bhairav raksha sutra, is blessed at the temple and worn on the wrist or around the neck for protection. It is often taken home for children and family members.

Tel and Deep offering
Mustard or sesame oil is offered to Baba and a lamp of mustard oil is lit, usually with black sesame and flowers. The offering is made especially on Sundays, Tuesdays and Bhairav Ashtami.

Pushpa, Mala and Bhog offering
Flowers, a blue garland, urad vadas, sweets and paan are offered through the priests. Liquor is also offered by devotees who follow that tradition; it is optional.

Daily aarti
The priests perform the daily round of worship, with a mangala aarti before dawn, a bhog aarti at midday and a sandhya aarti in the evening, to the sound of drums, bells and the damru.

Annual Shringar and Annakut
Once a year Baba is dressed in new clothes for the annual shringar and offered fifty-six kinds of bhog, including fruits and sweets, followed by a special aarti. In December 2025 darshan on that night continued until 11 pm.
